The Assistant Director, Finance is an integral part of the management team and will be responsible for multiple finance and accounting duties (treasury, general accounting, financial reporting, procurement and tax reporting) within the accounting /finance department, which supports the organization?s day to day operations
Job Functions:
- ?Daily management of financial reporting and analysis and procurement personnel
- ?Review and approve journal entries
- ?Review monthly account reconciliations
- ?Prepare and manage the annual operating plan which encompasses a zero-based budget and close scrutiny over each department
- ?Manage internal and external reporting requirements (MLB, management, banking and accounting)
- ?Development and production of qualitative analysis of all financial reporting on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
- ?Assist in the management of independent audits (MLB and accounting)
- ?Build and manage modeling tools for forecasting and cash flow requirements
- ?Manage relationship with tax auditors to ensure compliance with annual tax filings and compliance reporting
- ?Manage procurement process throughout organization, which included understanding the needs of each department, appraising the reliability of suppliers and implement back-office systems for procurement
- ?Identifies, evaluates and capitalizes on opportunities to minimize procurement costs without compromise and improves buying patterns and supply channels
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- ?College Degree with minimum of eight years related experience
- ?Manage multiple functions (tax, procurement, financial reporting and planning)
- ?Proficient with financial modeling
- ?Experience in financial reporting and cash management planning
- ?Computer experience with spreadsheets and word-processing programs, with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel and Word
- ?Motivated, willing to work long, non-standard hours during busier times
- ?Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- ?Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- ?MBA or CPA preferred
